Nearly 21 years of Philippine maritime history now have a place in the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) as Marino World donated printed copies of all 91 editions, from its inaugural September–October 2005 issue to the June–July 2026 edition.
Led by Publisher Lyn Bacani, the Marino World team formally turned over the collection to the NLP’s Collection Development Division–Legal Deposit, marking an important milestone in the publication’s journey of documenting the people, issues, policies, and developments that continue to shape the maritime industry.
From the stories of Filipino seafarers to major developments in shipping, manning, maritime education, welfare, and policy, Marino World has spent more than two decades chronicling the evolving maritime sector.
With its complete collection now preserved at the National Library, these stories become part of the country’s published heritage—available for future researchers and generations to discover.
And the story continues: Marino World will provide succeeding editions to the NLP, ensuring that today’s maritime stories become part of tomorrow’s history.
